Server Suggestion Allow firefighters to unlock their vehicles so civilians can ride

Suggestion Title: Allowing Firefighter to unlock doors for civilians
Suggestion Description: Allowing Firefighter to unlock doors car doors by pressing C for civilians or any other job to enter the car and sit in passenger seat

Why should this be added?:
- It should be added since I personally as a specialist firefighter been in so many situations where victims who were involved in car accident, car fires or any other accident in highway where you cant walk and need a lift or help getting to city by driving back to city while you are coming back to station, firefighters could help victim by giving him a lift to city, personally I dont see an issue, also as a emergency service in assisting in medics you can transport victim to hospital away from fire or active situation, I personally think there is benefits in adding this suggestion and would point to the fact that ambulances can transport civilians.

What negatives could this have?:
- I mean personally dont see but I am open in hearing why people would be opposed (ambulance have ability to transport civilians aswell)

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Helping victims/citizens who are stranded in far away locations without help or where they cant walk in highway

I know the struggle. Not really against this but some negatives to consider!

-Might make Taxi redundant (More than it is), since the vast majority of firefighters spend their time idling people might just run up to FD asking for rides instead of using the Taxi or Metro. Granted this of course depends on the person asked.

-Mingy people might not want to get out of the car again. This would require either Admin intervention or Police involvement (Good luck with that in high pop hours).

This alone swayed my opinion.

Taxis already have it boring as it is. This would probably make it less likely that Taxis get roleplay interactions and makes it more pointless to be a taxi driver.

This should be allowed. I've had some civilians who are critically injured or etc with no medic or taxi around to give a ride and they have to walk for ages. It isnt the end of the world but i think we should be able to be nice to them.

Taxi job isnt being played at all because it is not interesting, not because firefighter want to become other taxis... if you actually read my arguments it would have said that you give a lift when people are involved in emergencies not random people. What do you say to those people who werent at fault at the traffic collision, and their car is totaled and they need a lift from highway and said victim is in need or doesnt have a money, you suggest him calling taxi and making him pay, while perfectly fine and spacious firefighter car can give a lift?

Not much point in fire and rescue if you leave them on the curb to get run over, this has proven to cause dangerous situations after attending traffic accidents which does not impact medics since they have this.

Firefighters have almost the same capabilities compared to medics in medical situations so why not.

PS. Before opening the thread I thought you meant properties.

That might be what you would use it for. I am willing to bet 50.000$ that your scenario will be were it is least used.

Again I am not directly against the suggestion, but I do believe it will impact Taxi negatively and make it less used than it unfortunately already is.

Well I am not alone asking for this change since like you see in this thread, other people who play firefighter do understand and want this change and were in situations that they need to help people. Taxi job is completly seperate job with its own rules, taxi job wont be impacted since firefighters cant drive around the city if they are driving fire engine, and would help other people who need help returning back to city after accident.

Firefighters are not a taxi service, Sure we get free gas from the taxes of the city but there is a city metro for a reason.

The last thing we need is sweaters riding around in an MTL picking other sweaters up who could potentially be armed with guns, bombs or other instruments for killing I don't think this is a good idea at all. even if this is approved, I still will not pick anyone up or unlock my vehicle for them ill look at them & straight up tell them to fuck off or call a taxi like I always have.
