Punishment Type: Warning
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @exrobite
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Not Applicable

Your Steam Name: Sharkster
Your Roleplay Name: Sharky Sterling
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:94461102

Why were you punished?: 2.5 - User shot a play who had driven past a property he was raiding whilst he was complying with his orders.

Why should this appeal be considered?: There was a ongoing shootout and we were just clearing up this guy drove up the highway I started looking at him I believe he could've saw me and he still drove to the shootout area or where I have been with the as50 afterwards he drove when he couldve saw a armed gunsman and still drove straight into it and when his car was shot he showed no urgency of getting out and running away after being told to run away and sprint having a as50 pointed at him then he stood still for a while ran away then stopped turned around to look at me in which I shot him

Additional Information: the clip he gave the staff member was cropped and had audios cut off

After having a very loooong conversation about this with the staff members mentioned below, we have decided that whilst your actions could be considered excessive, that it was fair of you to assume that the player heard the shots approaching the area and we also believe they should have been able to.

Do keep in mind that your actions could've been considered excessive if it wasn't for several factors and that you should be more careful in the future, especially if there's a chance the player is unaware of the ongoing situation. Additionally, please refrain from shooting them once compliance is established, unless you'd have a good reason to do so.

Another factor that swayed this dispute to be accepted is that randomness is part of Roleplay and sometimes you happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and nobody can be blamed for it (we were not able to rule out a 3.4 violation however thus far, but will have a look on the reporter's side).

As mentioned several times: Our stance still stands that you should be more careful in the future.

Your warning has been removed.
