Suggestion Topic: 3.4 Putting your Life at Risk
Suggestion Description: Allow raiding with melee weapons

Why should this be added?:
- the incredible risk of raiding is already ignored to allow for it to happen, why can't we just ignore the fact that charging into a room with a katana might get you killed when raiding with a gun might also get you killed?

- Removing the word melee from the rules will likely increase the Flesch-Kincaid score

What negatives could this have?:
- Literally none

Couldn't you just say you can run into a room and punch someone to death then? This makes no sense.

It's about risk, you've got a good chance of killing someone with a gun, not with a katana.

The risk can be mitigated by smart planning and tactical movement, like any other raid. The difference is that you have a reasonable time to kill with melee weapons with a chance to disarm your attacker, as well as disrupting the defender's formation to the benefit of your other raiders. Raiding with fists is suicide, raiding with a katana is not.

I've been talking about this with my friends and have always wondered why it hasn't been a thing. I'm 100% for it. I agree the risk of raiding is already putting you're life at danger. So nothing really changes. Let me just put a scenario into your minds. 1v1 in coms stations. one has a katana and the other has a walther PPK. The guy with the melee can be weaving and sprinting while swinging. If that guy doesn't kill the melee weapon guy in 7 shots, he's 99% of the time dead to the melee weapon. That's what I think whenever I consider this rule.
