Honestly? My favourite part was when Billy Butcher said “I guess we really are The Boys” then they all high fived as the credits rolled idk haven’t watched it

I think the fact that vought still exists at the end and stan Edgar as the ceo makes the whole plot utterly useless, vought will keep making supes and if not supes they'll find some other way to fuck things up. Homelander is a total fuck up but its because of vought any of that shit happened in the first place. And then boys at the end just live happily ever after.

You forgot the 4 minute dance segment in the end where all the characters started dancing to the YMCA.

Maybe when the animation isn't just a PowerPoint in future seasons
After about a week to think it over, here's how it should've gone.
Bit irrelevant now, but had to get it off my chest.
Season 4, At Some Point - Introduce V1 as some kind of evil counter to the Godolkin virus. Once it's been discovered, the Kimiko deus ex radiato is also explored in preparation for Season 5.
Season 4, Episode 7 - Ends with Butcher killing Neuman, stealing the Godolkin virus, and preparing to use it on Homelander before he can get the V1.
Season 4, Episode 8 - Homelander gets the V1, injects himself, and the virus is made useless.
Season 5, Episode 1 - Starts with the boys running from a turbocharged Homelander, Sage gets dropped.
Season 5, Episode 7 - Homelander delivers his "God of the ashes" speech, and goes to find a crowd in New York City. Episode ends with him powering up his lasers.
Season 5, Episode 8 - The opening should basically be 1:1 with Franco P.'s "Scorched Earth" video. Homelander kills the President, and then Butcher kills Homelander. Avoid using the comic ending by keeping Butcher alive, but leaving him a shell of a man as he realises he has nothing left.

Really good except I think the v1 search should have taken minimum 2 episodes not 1. Also butcher has basically had nothing to lose since the beginning
