Hello all,

This isn't something I would usually speak about however this year this has become important to me.
Recently wherever I go / look its always about Pride ( which don't get me wrong is a good thing ), however there is never anything to do with mens mental health. Almost like its forgotten.

Going off the statistics from so far in 2026, 1 in 5 men experience a mental health condition in the USA. Alongside this 22-23 males per 100,000 in the US commit suicide because of this. So far in 2026 suicide is the 4th leading cause in death among individuals aged 15-29 years old. Approximately 60%-78% of men with mental health issues don't seek treatment / refuse treatment. It is the norm in society for men to receive comments like man up, get a grip etc which will normally deter men to go seek help.

What I wish for is anyone that is struggling with mental health to reach out to someone and discuss it, whether this be family, friends, a health care specialist.

If anyone seeks help or wishes to talk to someone my DMS are always open likewise you can always contact any mental health services in your country / contact lifeline to assist you in finding mental health services.

Dont get me wrong I completely agree that mental health is important and more people should speak about it. HOWWEVER I dont think that this is the correct way... As you mentioned all you see is pride... That doesnt have to be the case.. BUT after Years and Years and Years and STILL continued abuse and hyper fixation on a community being the LGBTQ+IA community and the hate that surrounds it... WE rallied together to make something inclusive for ALL. Not just "the gays" but for everyone. So while I understand your stance and strongly agree. I DONT think that saying all I see is this but I should see this is the way to go. And putting the well I dont mind Pride in there doesnt quite just make this all better for me personally as a fellow gay...

NOT trying to stir I originally came for the shitty Machams TAKE BUTTTTT then I seen this and thought it was important to make it heard.

To summarize. Im all for Mental health and I STRONGGGGLY agree that everyone should focus on their mental health. So lets do it? Lets start a movement surrounded soley on mental health. BUT I dont think that we should downplay another community of people as a result. That sounds like an eye for an eye..

Also guys, Even if you don't agree with Men's Mental Health month

Men's mental health can also be celebrated with Gay men. Since they are still Men and they go through it as well which I don't see a problem with.
