I am not sure how I should tell you this, so i'll be straight forward with it. Soup is something you eat, not something you fuck...

I feel like the spoon is more versatile. Half the stuff you usually use a fork for can also be eaten with a spoon, but not the other way around. Also staff that requires a fork is much easier to eat with your hands, if push comes to shove.
