Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @babyshay
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Days

Your Steam Name: Skytrasherr
Your Roleplay Name: Jason Vorheis
Your SteamID: 76561199512113709

Why were you punished?: I received a 3-day ban for violating rule 3.4, Putting Your Life at Risk. Earlier, a player had gunpointed me and threatened to shoot me if he saw me again. Later, while I was inside the bank, he fired three shots at the glass near me, but the bulletproof glass prevented me from being hit. I asked in /help whether I could kill someone who had gunpointed me for no reason. After waiting around two minutes, several players answered yes. As soon as I received those answers, I immediately left the bank to confront the player and retaliate for what had happened earlier. When I came out, I noticed the police were there, but I still chose to proceed with the shooting. The situation escalated, and I was banned for violating rule 3.4.

Why should this appeal be considered?: I sincerely apologise for my actions and fully acknowledge that I handled the situation poorly. I acted impulsively and prioritised revenge over my own safety and the consequences of my actions. The moment I noticed the police, I should have reconsidered my decision, but instead, I continued with the confrontation. That was my mistake, and I take full responsibility for it.

Regardless of what happened beforehand or what I understood from the answers in /help, the final decision was mine. I should have thought about the risks instead of rushing into a situation that could have been avoided. I understand the purpose of rule 3.4 and recognise that my actions went against the judgment and self-preservation expected on a serious roleplay server.

I am not asking for my actions to be excused. I am asking for my appeal to be considered because I genuinely regret my decision, understand where I went wrong, and am willing to learn from this experience.

Additional Information: Looking back, I realise that I could have avoided the entire situation by walking away instead of seeking retaliation. I cannot undo my decision, but I can learn from it. In the future, I will take responsibility for assessing situations properly, consider the consequences before acting, and avoid allowing emotions or impulsive decisions to affect my roleplay.

I apologise to the staff team for my actions and understand why this rule needs to be enforced. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my appeal.
