If you can find any correlation of when it happens that would be helpful. Frankly other than perhaps F1, no clue what might be causing other crashes. So if you can see what's similar between the times it happens, we may be able to find out/solve.

I don't know, I think it has something to do with the menus, when I have F1 opened but nothing else such as console, pausing the game, or even alt-tabbing in one whole session; I barely crash but it still happens. I don't know if this could be any help but a couple of hours ago me and @FrozenMonkeyKing both crashed at the same exact time from out of memory.

I usually crash if I press Esc(and F1 and open the console), but sometimes it just happens out of random, after I have pressed F1. I rarely get the "Cache out of memory" popup, as it usually just closes the entire thing down.


Edit: I have now played in a longer session than I have done in a while, because I haven't crashed. This time I haven't pressed Esc, F1 or opened the console. No problems so far.

And I crashed again from the session above, this time also at the same time as Thomas. We were nowhere near eachother, though. The time was around 1:49 AM GMT +1

I don't know how pressing Esc should matter as that is simply the GMod menu. We don't do anything with it. As for F1, sometimes I wonder if its the loading of models for crafting, or the rules/laws/chat help/FAQ that cause it. And why it would have lasting effects, no idea... Dammit Garry
