Is this a new law or a change to a current law: Change

What law do you wish to change/add: 11.9 Discharge(ing) a firearm

Why should this change/addition be made:Because Currently It Says Infraction $2,000 Maximum Fine,However i belive It Should Be Like This, 11.9 And Citizen That Discharges Are Firearm Without Following Law (2.1) Break law 11.9,

Infraction: $2,000 Maximum Fine,3 Year Maximum Jail Sentence And/Or Asset Forfieture.

What is the aim of this change/addition: Recently I've Noticed People Discharging Their Firearm, However, This Of Course Is Not Allowed And falls under 11.9, Police Confiscate Guns Anyway For It,So Why Is This Not In The Law Yet. This Means That Laws Are Stricter On Discharges Of Firearms.

Additional Information: List What You Think Below,

I have never seen any officer take a firearm for discharging it?

I also feel that this should not be added because otherwise it's going to be really unfair. Accidental discharge is a thing that does happen but under the law they can now take it? You should also consider the fact that most officers when they are able to under the law will confiscate a weapon, so I feel this shouldn't be added as it removes the fact of having an accidental discharge as officers can take the gun no matter what.

If a person reasonably believes that acting in a way contrary to any law is necessary to prevent injury, death or the loss of property they do not act unlawfully given that their actions are justifiable and proportionate.

Violate the maximum punishment because if they are randomly firing their gun it is a danger to the public so to prevent injury or death you nick it.

No thanks, we will see a rise in cancer cops like when in V3 when @D3V and @Matt would camp at pd with bino's looking into our r5 window, if they saw a gun they'd confiscate it and if we'd refuse to give it over we would get reported for 3.4.
Don’t slander or disrespect.

Inside joke not actual disrespect don’t warn ty. However this seems like a good law addition. The trick is husky don’t stand it the window with your gun out, never ends well.

Be Like This, 11.9 And Citizen That Discharges Are Firearm Without Following Law (2.1) Break law 11.9,

I'd define it as something similar to this;

If any individual discharges their firearm in a public or private property in a reckless manner, not intended for Self Defense and/or the Defense of others (see law 2.1) commits an offense. If an officer believes that a firearm discharged should be confiscated. He shall receive authorization from a superior officer. (Lieutenant or higher authority)

Infraction - Liable to 3,000$ maximum fine, 2 years imprisonment or asset forfeiture.

you shouldn't use a firearm if you end up discharging it accidentally.

I will have to agree with this. A lot of officers are just waiting to see a gun to confiscate it and grab some cash off it. Sometimes you cannot even walk into bazaar with your gun on your back to your shop or to a casino to bet it without a officer sitting on your ass shouting to store the weapon right now or get it confiscated and if you then stand still for one second to either type something do something on your phone or get money from an ATM they putt you in cuffs and confiscate the gun and if you are really lucky you will get a ticket with it aswell, I have seen someone suggesting that if you give a ticket and it gets paid the officer(s) get a percentage of that ticket imagine if that would happen they will just give a ticket faster and immediatly higher which they already do now but it will happen more. I got a little off topic here but it would also be great if the PLPD would implement a better policy to giving out tickets because most likely when they check your record and you have nothing on it but went like 5 over the speed limit you immediatly get a ticket which is BS.

Law 7.6 said:
7.6 Transport of Offensive Weapons

A person does not act unlawfully under articles 7.3, 7.4 or 7.5 if they are transporting an offensive weapon in a way that is direct and immediate between places of secure storage.

direct and immediate

What part of "direct and immediate" do you not understand?

what part of IN A WAY BETWEEN PLACES OF SECURE STORAGE do you not understand? This only covers that you will have to take a direct path towards the secure storage but does not include that if you stand still in that path for 2 seconds to type that it is not allowed and the money greedy LEO can then come and take a weapon.

That has nothing to do with what I said.

Based on the sentence you can get it for the PATH between the storages not the time being either 10 seconds or 11 seconds
