Suggestion Title: Ability to retrieve collected evidence
Suggestion Description: The ability for supervisors or cpl+ to retrieve just taken evidence. Sometimes new officers just take evidence while he is not supposed to. And if he does this you cant get it back. So maybe an ability to give back the evidence what just was collected?

Why should this be added?:
- less angry citizens who lost their guns because of unrightfully taken evidence

What negatives could this have?:
- can be abused to give guns back to people

As you said, this could open the door to people forcing CPLs+ to give them weapons that got confiscated, such as expensive weapons from another unrelated situation.

Regarding officer mindlessly confiscating evidence:

If it's a rule break, people can request refunds already.
For policy violations, the officer could face disciplinary action. Still, most of the time there's no obligation for evidence be returned.

3.13 Illegally or Improperly Obtained Evidence

Illegally or improperly obtained evidence is evidence obtained in violation of a person’s human rights or obtained in breach of the law, policy or procedure – and it would be unfair or unjust to use it. All charges related to this evidence must be dropped under this law, but any items related to the offense may still be seized by police under asset forfeiture.

Maybe add a question to the Officer application regarding more confiscation situations?

"For policy violations, the officer could face disciplinary action. Still, most of the time there's no obligation for evidence be returned."
You can also recieve a refund for a successful Internal affairs complaint i believe.
