Good day,

@teby you should close this ticket on your own, this is an absurd and frivolous AR. He was literally stepping towards the door, a mere second away from clicking on it and prying it open.

This is common sense. I hope the administration is capable of that. To penalize my actions, is to set a ridiculous precedent.

@Apex I still have to investigate whether a rule break had occurred.

Were there any indications of a raid happening? I couldn't find anything in logs. Also, do you have your POV of the situation?

No POV from me.

Were there any indications of a raid happening?
"He was literally stepping towards the door, a mere second away from clicking on it and prying it open." - Here's your indication of a raid happening.

Launching a raid is not determined by him clicking on the bloody door, it is the totality of circumstances that lead a reasonable person to believe it is occurring. He entered the constraints of the property (arms reach to the door), with a raiding tool in hand, while armed. Is that a neighbourly visit to you?

If we are to identify that a raid is being launched based solely on him clicking onto the door with a crowbar or a lock pick, then you are setting a dangerous precedent that people will absolutely exploit.

Because with that logic, I could have a group of people gathered right outside someone's door, they may even be holding their weapons, people can stand with crowbars right up against the door and be a literal second away from prying it open. BUT, until they click on that door, it doesnt count as a raid and thus nobody can do anything about it. With that same logic, we may as well replace the crowbar with a remote explosive. If we just place it down next to the door, being a moment away from detonating, its still not a raid until it explodes, right? Because its not about the logical and common sense indication of a raid in progress, its about the black and white, 0 or 1 machine indication of a raid.

By all means, give me this bullshit violation, please, at this point I encourage it because the fall out from this would be hilarious.

@Apex whilst I understand where you're coming from, this is a violation of 2.5. The rule states "You must not seriously harm someone else's experience unless it is a fair and reasonable response to their negative actions against you." In this case, the user hadn't initiated a raid, thus no negative action was taken against you.

@Apex will receive a warning for 2.5.
