Why should this player be punished?: A New player asked me how to steal a car and how to use his inv while i was telling him how the user came out with a shotgun and decided not to invistgate just shot me and killed me i did have a gun on my back but never had it in my hands or aimed

there is an on going rivalry between members of evergreen and oblock and oblock constantly steal my car and there has been a couple of occasions where they've attempted to steal my car and it has just resulted in an immediate shoot out, this is why i didnt issues any warning to the player as i saw it was ilyan and he was armed, so it resulted in shooting straight away. unfortunately i didn't see that this was a new player involved, a few minutes before the incident i had seen ilyan leave slums with other oblock members and at that time he wasn't with a new player. obviously if I was aware a new player was involved I would have followed a more rp appropriate approach. i do have clips to back up the rivalry if needed , for example targeted raiding other instances of car theft and an instance where i was asked to leave evergreen for oblock otherwise it would spell trouble for me. i understand in this interaction it wasn't handled by the rules and i do apologise for that being the case after everything being said.
