This was just really unlucky timing if I recall: I had committed to placing the barricade as part of an emergency roadblock to block the raiders from escaping at about the same time that you came into my vision (as I was focussing on fiddling about with the barricade wheel), and due to your high speed and my extremely poor reaction time by the time I registered that you were coming at me I wasn't able to abort.
