Why should this player be punished?: Hello Staff Team,

I am submitting this report regarding a player for RDM, FailRP, and lying to administrators/staff, supported by video evidence.

I ran for Mayor and won the election. The reported player also ran for Mayor but lost, after which he became a Secret Service (SS) member. During his time as SS, he brought two new players into my office. I allowed this because they were new, and I wanted them to learn proper roleplay scenarios.

As shown in the video, while serving as SS, he repeatedly asked me to raise taxes and was clearly planning to have me killed. He was also actively teaching the new players how to convince me to raise taxes so I would get murdered. Unfortunately for him, the citizens were satisfied, which is clearly shown in the video (taxes were under 10%).

I then asked him and his friend to stop giving advice that would intentionally lead to my death. This is visible in the video. His friend continued doing so, so I asked him to leave my office and pushed him out. After this, his friend threatened me and left with Vincent (the reported SS).

Shortly after, Vincent resigned from his SS job and immediately killed me outside City Hall, as shown in the video. This completely ruined a well-built and enjoyable RP scenario. Even OOC chat after my death shows players blaming the killer, since taxes were fine and I was actively responding to citizens’ concerns.

Rule Violations:

RDM:
The video clearly shows that my killing was unjustified and had no valid RP reason.

FailRP:
Even if we assume (for argument’s sake) that I threatened him which I did not he resigned from his SS job, meaning he became a new character and should not retain prior knowledge (as confirmed to me by a helper on Discord). Killing me afterward is still FailRP.

Lying to Staff:
He told admins that I threatened to kill him and his friend. This is completely false. I am willing to accept a permanent ban if this claim is proven true. Unfortunately, I was unable to record my microphone audio despite trying; support staff informed me this was not possible. However, I had two other SS members present are free to ask them for confirmation.

This player’s RP behavior is extremely unprofessional and harms serious RP. He repeatedly shows that he only cares about shooting, even stating while he was an SS that he would shoot someone “for no reason.” On top of that, lying to staff made this situation much worse and forced me to spend hours downloading the map, content, fixing errors, and finding a working recording setup just to defend myself.

I respectfully ask staff to review this case professionally and fairly, as I believe the evidence clearly supports my claims.

@william mathiasson you have 72 hours to explain your actions. Since the user hasn't joined the forums since August, I will also be attempting to contact them through Steam and in-game.

I will also request the reported user's demo, which will allow me to listen for any potential threats.

The user was contacted in-game and claimed there was no point in disputing your claims. After reviewing yours and his demo, I have concluded that the following rules were broken:

1.6 - The user lied to the staff member by claiming that the mayor issued death threats, which he didn't do at any point.
2.5 & 3.12 - The user killed the mayor without any prior warning and without there being any valid reason for him to do so, as the logs show no tax or policy would warrant it.
3.4 - The user executed the mayor while surrounded by cops and without there being any feasible way for him to escape afterward.
3.5 - The user did not follow New Life Rule when leaving his position as a Secret Service, continuing to plot to murder the mayor after doing so.
4.1 & 4.5 - The user broke the law by dumping an entire magazine right before going off-duty for no apparent reason, and started to plot against the mayor's life while still on duty as a Secret Service.

He will receive a ban.
