Topic: ANPR For Police



Short explanation (in notes):
- Police cars have enabled ANPR

Detailed description (why should it become added/...): I think this should be added because I think that it would make being police more fun and interesting, eg if speed enforcement are waiting on the side of the highway and a vehicle comes up on their computer saying that the vehicle has a current warrant for "physical assault" then they can radio in notifying that they have spotted that vehicle.




Optional additions:
- Maybe a new vehicle
- Only speed enforcers get this

I don't think it should be only speed enforcers, a lot of standard police vehicles are fitted with ANPR these days. However I like this idea.

I like this idea +support would be interesting and fun but not just speed enforcer

It would be quite difficult seeming as cars don't have number plates on them. But I guess we could make this work somehow.

Currently the best officers can have on a car is its description, Driver and passengers they do not really have alot to go on. This system would help the police out alot but the range should be close to prevent the cops from snipe scanning cars. I would like this added in providing that it will not distract the driver from driving.
