I don't know if I'm missing something here, but please do let me know which officers allowed you to stand in-front of the Police Department with your gun out to threaten someones life, because they'll be walking through the exit door of the Police Department.

Regardless of you 'taking back your items', what you are doing is displaying a firearm in order to threaten someone in a public area (Not to mention this is in front of a Police Department). What you did was both against the law, and against the rules. I advise you in the future to take greater care on when and where you 'take the law into your own hands'.
