Yes, I'd be upset too. But let's take an objective look at the player's actions:

Fight or Flight is the decision that was to be made in such a short time.

True, the P.O. had the 'flight' option to run away, and this option would have carried far less risk!

But, in the heat of the moment after seeing his colleagues sprayed down, he took the opportunity to have a stab at you while you were disadvantaged - reloading. With a bit of luck, you died anyway (unsure if it was him that did it).

There's a whole host of 'right answers' which are acceptable in response to an event, while there are also distinctive 'wrong answers'; due to the fast pace and sheer surprise of this situation no person should be able to conclude that he was consciously acting in a distinctly unacceptable manner, but rather that he was rightfully acting in terms of self preservation.

Sure, if he had a longer timeframe to make this decision it would be totally unacceptable (for instance: he flees the scene successfully, but sneaky sneaky's behind you to attack later).
