Punishment Type: Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: Steelo
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Permanent
Your Steam Name: Dräjj
Your Roleplay Name: Anton Chrome
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:63129850
Why were you banned/blacklisted?: Mass RDM
Why should this appeal be considered?: Salutations, it's been roughly 11 months since my ban. I'll just split up this appeal in 2 parts, since as far as I'm aware my ban also extends past the ban reason that's listed in Scambans.
Ingame related ban:
I'd like to start with this first, it all started with me and 2 friends hopping on the server to just kill some time. We just drove around doing random stuff. I was about to go off crim to get on cop, since it's something I enjoyed doing and wanted to try to regain my ranks that had been lost due to inactivity in the last few months. Then I was dropped an impact nade and obviously did some dumb stuff, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this right now. There's no real excuse, I'm an experienced player that's been around since late 2013 and I know better. I'd like to apologize to everyone that was involved in the mass rdm in bazaar, hopefully it didn't affect your roleplay too much and if I were to ever be allowed on the server again I wouldn't be against giving you some sort of refund for it although I'm pretty broke ingame.
I've accumulated a bit of a record since I first started playing in 2013, afaik it's a total of 24 bans. Some of which extend far back to when I barely even spoke any English and was messing around as an 10-11 year old. But most of my bans stem from the period where I was around 17-19. Some of my bans were intentional, where I was fully aware of the fact that I was breaking rules and some are me just not knowing the rules. It's probably around a 50/50 split of malicious/just not being aware.
During my playtime I haven't always surrounded myself with the best crowd, and personally I think I was incredibly impressionable from the ages of 17-20. This lead me to intentionally break rules just to make some internet strangers laugh with me, and looking back at it I regret ever getting involved with some of those individuals. Today I'm confident that I can think for myself and not try to seek validation from people that I've only really "known" for a few days.
Forum/community ban:
First of all I'd like to make it clear that I'm not trying to get unbanned from the forums/other social OOC related things.
This all started with me more or less shitpost action request on my friend Kelson, with some 7 year old video or something. Obviously this isn't something I should've done, while it may not be incredibly malicious. It clogs up staff members time having to remove it, it isn't entirely obvious that it's satire/a shitpost and also it's just not a good look when other people have to see it. And in worst case new players on the forums who don't know better might see it and think that it's acceptable behaviour.
I'd like to apologize to whichever staff members had to deal with that at the time, as far as I'm aware it was Efan and someone else(?). This as previously mentioned in this ban appeal stems from a time where I was easily impressionable, and it was more or less caused by someone saying "Drajj look at this old video, you should make a troll AR on this guy" and me doing it. And as previously said I don't think I'm the type of person that gets affected by that kind of stuff anymore.
All in all I would be delighted to be given another chance to come back to the server and contribute to the community. Within the last 8 months or so before I got banned I got involved within the PLPD quite a bit, collecting ORs that speak good of my behaviour while playing. At that time I tried to better myself while offering help to newer players and helping them understand laws/policies. Outside of the PLPD I'd also been a part of a few sweater orgs where me and some friends basically took in a bunch of new players and taught everything they needed to know about the server. This was all something I enjoyed doing and would like to continue with, although I'm not too keen on crim roleplay these days and would probably spend the majority of my time on cop/medic.
Best wishes,
Drajj
