Why should this appeal be considered?: Hi,
I joined the server in 2022 because me and my friends were looking for a new game to try. Before that, I had no real experience with RP. I’d only briefly joined a DarkRP server years ago and didn’t really know what I was doing. Perpheads was my first proper RP experience in Gmod or any game. At the time, I came from a severely toxic gaming background (mainly League of legends). Honestly back then I thought RP sounded kind of nerdy and wasn’t sure if it was for me and because of that mindset I ended up making a lot of poor decisions which got me to where I am now.
My first ban was for NITRP, and instead of accepting it and learning from it, I made my situation 10 times worse by ban evading with alt accounts. Coming from a game like League where smurfing a.k.a. alting was quite normalized, I didn’t really think about the consequences in a different type of game/community. I treated alting like it wasn’t a big deal. I understand now that this isn’t League, and that kind of behavior doesn't belong here either. I'm sorry to all the staff members who had to deal with my stupid actions multiple times and I'm sorry for continuously evading my punishments, I know it was extremely easy to avoid a permanent ban by just being patient but unfortunately I wasn't developed enough back then.
During the early part of my alting, I kept breaking rules, including misusing jobs and VDMing. I was still acting with the same careless mindset. But eventually, that changed. I stopped treating the server like it was a joke and actually started playing the way it was meant to be played and that's what made me really start to enjoy the server. On my last two alts (which most people know me as today), I did my best to follow the rules, help others, and take things seriously. I’m not perfect. I still slipped up at times, but I put an effort into improving and playing the right way. I'm sorry to the people whose experience I've ruined by misusing jobs, VDMing, and just generally not taking the server seriously when I should have.
Lastly, I want to apologize to the friends I made along the way who I let down when they found out I was alting, I broke trust with some people and I hate that I made people feel mislead because of that.
It’s been almost three years since my first ban and a year since my ban for alting. I know I’ve made plenty mistakes since then but I hope the time that’s passed and the effort I’ve put into changing my behaviour shows that I’m ready to come back, this time without hiding or messing around and actually be part of the community the way I should’ve been from the start.
Thank you for reading my appeal.
Additional Information: I know I haven’t been active in the community for some time but after my last ban I decided to step away and take a break from everything related to perpheads so I could reflect and get my head straight.
