Why were you punished?: 1.6, 2.5 - MassRDM, deceiving staff.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I'm appealing my 1-year ban for Mass RDM and deceiving staff.
I know I messed up and I'm not going to sit here and pretend I did nothing wrong. Looking back on it, I understand why I was punished and why staff took the situation seriously. At the time I didn't handle things the way I should have, and I accept responsibility for that.
What I don't understand is the length of the ban. A full year feels extremely excessive for what happened. I've had a lot of time to think about my actions, and I can honestly say I've learned from the situation. Being unable to play for such a long period has already had the intended effect, and I don't believe keeping the ban in place for the full year serves much purpose anymore.
I genuinely enjoyed playing on the server and spending time in the community. Since being banned, I've had plenty of time to reflect on how I should have acted differently, both in roleplay and when dealing with staff. If I'm given another chance, I won't make the same mistakes again. I know that's easy to say in an appeal, but I'm willing to prove it through my actions.
I'm not asking for the punishment to be completely ignored, and I understand why I was banned in the first place. I'm simply asking for some leniency and for my ban to be reduced or removed so I can return and show that I've matured from the situation.
