Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User was driving around an active PD raid trying to collect weapons they're not involved in, once gun pointed out they attempted to pull out a firearm which resulted in their death.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I would like to formally appeal the Rule 3.4 ban, as I believe the situation has been misunderstood and the reasoning does not accurately reflect my actions.
First of all, I would like to make it clear that I did not attempt to collect or take any weapons during an active police raid. Although I was present in the area, I was in no way involved in the raid itself. Merely being nearby should not automatically be considered an attempt to take advantage of the situation. At no point did I interact with any of the dropped weapons or attempt to retrieve any items from the scene.
As for the claim that I was "driving around trying to collect weapons", I believe this may have been an assumption based on my movements, rather than any actual evidence. From my perspective, I was simply passing through or circling the area with the intention of looting. I understand that it may have looked suspicious, but mere appearance is not the same as intent.
As for the moment I pulled out the gun, I want to clarify the reasons behind the act. I had been driving a stolen car for about 30 minutes prior to the incident. When the officer pointed the gun at me, I sincerely believed that it was from a stolen vehicle and that I would be arrested for it. Based on this assumption, I reacted as I did, thinking that this was a separate situation, unrelated to any raid or weapons. I did not realize at the time that the officer believed I was trying to steal weapons from the scene.
This misunderstanding is important because my actions were not related to the raid in any way from my perspective. I was responding to what I perceived to be a routine police confrontation over a stolen vehicle, not an accusation of interfering with an active situation.
I fully respect the rules, including Rule 3.4, and I understand why such rules exist. However, I did not intentionally violate them. There was no attempt to exploit the situation, and the possible escalation was based on a misunderstanding and not malicious intent.
I kindly request that this case be reviewed, taking into account my explanation and whether there is clear evidence that I attempted to take weapons. I believe that a closer look will reveal that this was a misinterpretation of my actions and not an intentional violation of the rules. And IF you still think that I should get a punishment, I would be SO grateful if you could at least shorten it a little. Thank you!! (this message was made with GOOGLE TRANSLATOR so I don't know if all the words are correct.)
Additional Information: I would be SO SO grateful if you would read my text!!
Thank you!
