Why were you punished?: Incorrectly guessing jail time

Why should this appeal be considered?: I shot a cop that arrested my boy with a gun, LIKELY because our car had a BOLO out and the cops were looking for us for a crime we did. With all of that I assumed the Jailtime would be 7+ years, (AS WAS THE CASE WHEN WE WERE ARRESTED 2X IN THE PREVIOUS HOUR.) So I shot the Police to prevent an arrest. I am being banned for being asked to make an assumption, 7+ years or not, and then being punished for "incorrectly" assuming.

I had two encounters with you tonight. In both occasions you broke basic rules of the server and showed in the report you had no basic knowledge of the rules.

Take these 2 days to go over the rules so you dont make the same mistakes you did today.

I understand its a pain to read all that but its really not fun for other players who play by the rules to have their gameplay interrupted because someoen did not spend 15 minutes understanding how the server works.
