Why were you punished?: 2.5, 2.6 - User supplied a mass RDMer with a free gun, once the RDMer began to mass and call users the n-word, the user laughed and also failed to report the mass RDMer.
Why should this appeal be considered?: While I understand the concern surrounding the situation, I believe this appeal should be considered because I did not knowingly support mass RDM or hate speech. When the player asked for a gun and said they were going to kill someone, I assumed it might have been part of a valid KOS or RP context, which is not against the rules. At that point, I had no reason to believe it would escalate into mass RDM or rule-breaking behavior. While I now see I should have reported the situation once it escalated, I did not act out of malicious intent or to aid someone in breaking the rules. I care about the community and want to continue playing respectfully and fairly. I'm asking for the opportunity to clarify my actions and move forward constructively.
Additional Information: The truth is, I did hear the player say “give me a gun, I’m gonna kill somebody,” and I gave them the weapon. However, at the time, I believed it might have been part of an active RP situation or a valid KOS, which happens frequently. I didn’t expect the situation to turn into mass RDM or for them to start using slurs,I absolutely don’t condone that. I’ve been part of the community and haven’t had major issues before. I’d appreciate a chance to continue playing and will be more mindful about who I interact with going forward.
