Why were you punished?: Breaking Rules 1.2, 2.8 - I was being homophobic and spouting abuse at another player.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Friday night/Saturday morning I was intoxicated as I had been drinking. From what pieces I remember we had been basing and just got raided by a group of other players. Me and a couple others from the raiding team respawned at spawn and words were exchanged about the raid. It got heated as they started to provoke one of my faction members and cussing them out. I retaliated, making things worse by going the extra mile and calling one player in particular gay and that I reckon he "takes it up the ass" in attempt to rile the guy up. I don't genuinely believe that nor do I have an issues with gay people, my best friends brother is gay and what I said was only said out of spite and frustration without thinking of the repercussions.
That and me thinking it's a good idea to hop on Gmod on a binge drink session. I'm usually a calm guy, try to make friends with everyone. I apologized to the player I was falling out with, he accepted my apology but made a good point in stating that I can't be saying things like that to people, it's un-called for. The admin who banned me RespectMyVoid heard my plea, profusely apologizing after taking a brief time out to realise what I had said/done. He was generous enough to give me a lighter sentence as he did say I think that it's usually a 2 week ban for this type of offense.
I come on Gmod only for this server, as I don't play any other server or gamemode. This server what's brought me back to Gmod, it's a great way to make friends. I come to make friends, not enemies. I crossed a line. I'm really sorry and especially embarrassed for my actions and that I'm here having to write to you. I thought I'd take the day off yesterday just to get over friday nights antics before writing this, try and sleep it off. I understand when I or anyone acts in an anti-social way like I did it doesn't just reflect on me but the server itself, so I completely agree with my ban. I'm ashamed but hope that this appeal can touch one of you just enough to unban me or atleast reduce my sentence.
Despite that this should never have happened, strangely in some ways I'm grateful or maybe humbled is a better word. When you get knocked down you get back up, better. My behaviour was out of order. I promise this will never happen again.
