Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Server Anti-Cheat detection
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Permanent
Your Steam Name: bule
Your Roleplay Name: Andrew Kalashnikovski
Your SteamID: STEAM_1:1:34099
Why were you punished?: Cheating
Why should this appeal be considered?: I was recently banned from the server for cheating.
I didnt know at the first what was the resason for that beacuse i dont use cheats.
It took me some time to think about it and i think its because, i'm using Linux as my main OS and was trying to improve my Garry’s Mod performance since my FPS was low due to the number of mods. To do this, I manually configured DXVK (DirectX to Vulkan translation) and VKD3D while running the game through Wine instead of Proton, as it gave me better FPS. I also used MangoHud for monitoring and Feral Gamemode to optimize system resources.
Since these tools replace DirectX calls, modify rendering, and hook into the game, I believe your anti-cheat mistook them for injected DLLs or rendering cheats like wallhacks/ESP. Some anti-cheats flag DXVK because it changes how the game is drawn, even though it doesn’t modify gameplay.
I can run the game without these modifications if needed, but I wanted to explain why I was flagged. If you have logs, I’d be happy to check what specifically triggered the detection. Let me know what you think.
