Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @sza
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Day

Your Steam Name: King
Your Roleplay Name: Dylan Harvey
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:224313398

Why were you punished?: 3.4, 3.21 | User failed to comply with gunpoint by a group of raiders instead citing that it was "FailRP" in response through local chat

Why should this appeal be considered?: I fully accept that I made mistakes during the gunpoint situation, as I failed to comply due to misunderstanding how gunpoint rules work on the server as a new player. I understand now that I should have complied and raised concerns afterwards rather than resisting, and I apologise for that.

However, I would like to dispute part of the reasoning, as I believe the situation in the Tidals corridor was not clearly explained to me at the time, and I was left confused about why it was considered valid. I felt I was trying to understand the rules during the report, but did not receive a clear breakdown that I could understand as a new player.

Additionally, I noticed that part of the ban reason appears to reference behaviour that was already previously addressed with a warning (the earlier raid-related incident). I believed that matter had already been resolved separately.

I am not trying to avoid responsibility for my actions, but I would like a fair review of whether the ban is based solely on the gunpoint incident or whether it includes prior behaviour that was already handled with a warning.

I apologise for my mistakes and I am now clear on how I should handle similar situations in future. I am respectfully requesting reconsideration of the ban duration or outcome given my status as a new player and the confusion involved.

Additional Information: Void issued the warn I received.

The ban description in full is tied solely to the situation at Tidals and is not in reference to, associated with, or an extension of the warning (Slums Apartments) applied to your account just a few hours prior.

While the rules in their written form are expansive and meticulous, they cannot & will not detail every single interaction you may come across. This is why you should ask as many questions when able and remain receptive to the customs and practices of the server even when they may not be clearly represented in the rules. The situation residing was explained to you with provided supporting documentation and you were needlessly untrustworthy. 3.4 and 2.5 dictate a large majority of staff intervention on the server so if you take the time to master them, familiarize yourself with player behavior, and be open to wisdom from the more tenured players/staff, that is how you will be successful.

Considering you had a great opportunity to learn about 3.4 in full from your initial warning (was linked the 3.4 guidelines by that staff member iirc), and absolutely would/should have come across the importance of gunpoint compliance, but clearly didn't, you will need to sit this one out.
