Why were you punished?: breaking in game rules and forums
Why should this appeal be considered?: I am writing this letter to offer my most sincere and unreserved apology for my recent behavior that has resulted in my bans from both the forums and the game. I want to state from the outset that I am not writing this to make excuses, to argue the technicalities of the rules, or to ask for a quick reversal of the decision. I am writing this because I have had significant time to reflect on my actions, and I am genuinely ashamed of how I conducted myself.
I want to specifically address the use of the N-word. I understand now, more than ever, that this word is not "just a word." It is a term rooted in centuries of oppression, violence, and systemic racism. By using it, regardless of the context, I was actively perpetuating a culture of harm and exclusion. I was telling members of this community, many of whom I have enjoyed playing with, that their history and their pain are not important to me. That is unacceptable. I was reckless and ignorant, and I am deeply sorry for the offense and hurt I have caused.
Furthermore, I want to apologize for my actions inside the game and in the forums that led to this point. Breaking the in-game rules was disrespectful to the developers who work hard to create a fair environment, and to the players who just want to enjoy the game without interference. I was selfish in my gameplay, prioritizing my own amusement over the enjoyment and fairness owed to others.
Perhaps the most egregious part of my behavior was my disrespect toward the staff. The moderators and administrators of this community are volunteers or employees who dedicate their time to keeping this space safe and functional for everyone. It is a thankless job that often involves dealing with hostile individuals.
When I disrespected the staff, I wasn't just "arguing" or "defending myself." I was attacking the very people who were trying to uphold the standards of the community. I made their jobs harder than they already are. I created a toxic environment for them and for the players who witnessed my outbursts. I dismissed their authority and acted entitled, which was completely out of line. The fact that I showed a lack of basic human respect to the people running the show is my biggest regret.
I realize now that my actions had a ripple effect. I didn’t just break a rule; I contributed to a toxic atmosphere. I made the community less welcoming. I made the staff's day more stressful. I likely made players who were minding their own business uncomfortable or angry. The community is a shared space, and I acted like it belonged to me, disregarding the comfort and safety of everyone else.
I am not asking for the ban to be lifted immediately or at all. I understand that trust must be earned back, and that takes time. I accept the consequences of my actions. However, I hope that in the future, you might consider giving me a second chance to prove that I can be a positive, rather than negative, member of this community.
I am deeply sorry to the staff, to the players I insulted, and to the community as a whole for failing you all.
Additional Information: im sorry guys i messed up but i would really like another chance to play
