Why should this appeal be considered?: Let’s start from the beginning. I don’t expect to be unbanned at all, but it’s been a long time, so I figured I’d apologise for my actions that took place. I was first banned for cheating in 2017 after meeting someone who was cheating, and I stupidly got into cheating thinking it was a fun experience. I was still very young at the time of that incident and didn’t even know cheats existed in Garry’s Mod until that interaction. I got caught, waited a long time to appeal and come back, and then did the same again in 2021.
Ever since my last ban, I have matured a lot as an adult and only play games when I can. Perpheads was a starting server for me, one of the main servers I started playing since 2016, and I have made a lot of friends (or former ones, so to speak). I ultimately want to sincerely apologise. In 2021, I cheated again because I wanted to get that advantage, and I’ll admit that it was one of the main reasons I did it—to get that advantage over other players—knowing full well it was against the rules and unfair to everyone on the server. This is not a moment of self-realisation that it was wrong; I already knew that when I started doing it again. This is an apology to the entire staff team at the time who unbanned me previously in 2020 after I appealed my other ban, and I can’t express how much I mean it.
I was immature and silly for thinking I could do it again, and I know how much that decision was of the utmost stupidity. Since my ban, I moved on to other servers but stopped playing Garry’s Mod in 2023 due to life commitments, which meant I couldn’t dedicate much time to games anymore. However, I still remember Perp as one of my favourite servers and a server where I could come on and have fun. Although I play other games, Garry’s Mod was my first ever one, and I’ll never forget the experiences Perp had to offer. I’ll also never forget the experience of being caught and outed, and the embarrassment and shame it brought on in 2017.
I get it—I was still young and stupid—but in 2021 I had no excuses other than that I did it because I wanted that advantage. When I did get banned, I tried to use alt accounts to bypass the ban, I believe on more than one occasion in 2021. However, I didn’t persist for long, not that I can remember, but I may be wrong.
That’s all I can say at this stage. I wanted to sincerely apologise for my past actions and be open and honest about why I did it without excuses. Once again, I am not expecting another chance. I fully understand that I got caught twice before; both were stupid decisions, and I can’t express how much I regret both of them.
