Why were you punished?: 3.20 - The player left the server in cuffs twice. The second time was a few seconds after I created a report with them //Extended for MRDM attempt // Extended 3m>6m 1.6, 2.5 - User shot someone for simply opening their unlocked door. Failed to reply to AR, denying steam requests multiple times.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I understand the seriousness of the actions that led to this extended ban, and I’d like to take responsibility where it’s due while also clarifying some of the context from my perspective.
Regarding leaving the server in cuffs: The first time was accidental due to a crash/disconnect, and I fully understand that it may appear as an attempt to avoid RP. The second instance, which happened shortly after a report was made, was not intended to interfere with any investigation or avoid consequences — I panicked and realize now that was not the correct way to handle the situation. I take full responsibility for not remaining in the server as I should have.
On the matter of the door incident and the shooting: I misjudged the situation in the moment and reacted too quickly. Looking back, I realize that opening an unlocked door alone is not valid reason for lethal force, and I regret that decision. As for the failed communication during the AR, I wasn’t intentionally ignoring staff or avoiding responsibility. I had some issues with Steam notifications and didn’t realize attempts were being made to contact me. I know now that this reflects poorly on me, and I should have made a better effort to be responsive and cooperative.
I’m asking for this appeal to be considered because I’ve taken time to reflect on my behavior and I genuinely want to follow the rules and be a part of the community in a positive way. I would be grateful for another chance to show that I can learn from this and do better moving forward.
