Why should this appeal be considered?: Hello,
I just wanted to make this appeal to sincerely apologize for the actions that led to my ban/ban extension.
When looking back on the situation, I understand that it was really "my" responsibility to make absolutely sure the player wasn't in passive mode before I engaged. Now regardless of my intentions, I failed to do that, and I understand why that is a real problem. I realize now that following the rules also means taking the time to verify situations like this instead of making assumptions.
I just want to be open and honest when I say that I wasn't trying to RDM or intentionally break the rules. It was a genuine mistake on my part. I know that doesn't undo what happened, and I understand that intent doesn't remove responsibility. I accept that my actions affected another player's experience and created unnecessary work for the staff member handling it.
When I first received the original one-week ban, I accepted it and used the time away to reflect on what happened in the bank robbery. I truly believed I had learned from the mistake and was looking forward to coming back. Me finding out that my ban had been extended another week was honestly very discouraging. It hit me a lot harder than i couldve expected, and it made me realize / reconfirm just how much I enjoy being part of this community. This isn't meant to make excuses or avoid responsibility—it's simply me being honest about how I felt.
This situation/experience has taught me to slow down and really fully verify situations before acting, especially during player interactions like muggings. Going forward, I'll make sure I confirm that every rule is being followed before taking any action, even if it means taking a few extra seconds.
I genuinely enjoy playing on the server and being part of the community. I don't want this incident to define how I'm seen as a player. I truly hope you'll consider this apology and recognize that I understand where I went wrong and that I've learned from it.
