Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @AcidFerret
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 2 Days

Your Steam Name: Sanchez
Your Roleplay Name: Jason Coxk
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:603942538

Why were you punished?: 1.1, 2.5- User shot a player without giving him proper time to react to the gunpoint, and proceeded to disrespect staff in the f6.

Why should this appeal be considered?: Regarding the 2.5 Situation:

I decided to eliminate the first individual because he directly threatened to raid me. After that, my priority was to leave the area as quickly as possible and safely store his weapon. To protect myself from retaliation, I held his friend at gunpoint.

Although there's no audio in the clip, you can clearly see the green dot under my name indicating voice communication. I repeatedly told him to put his hands up. He had at least 5 full seconds to comply, and during that time he made no effort to surrender (as shown in his own clip). He didn’t attempt to press C instantly or show any signs of compliance. You’re welcome to ask any experienced players: 5 seconds is objectively enough time to press a surrender key.

Regarding Rule 1.1:

I strongly disagree with the interpretation that what I said constitutes a breach of Rule 1.1. The statement I made “You’re a joke if you say that’s not enough time” was not meant as a personal insult but rather a reaction to what I perceived as an unreasonable claim. It was a criticism of the argument, not an attack on the individual.

In the context of in-game interactions, especially during high-stress or competitive moments, comments like this are fairly common and mild in nature. Labeling this as disrespect feels disproportionate, especially when compared to what typically falls under actual toxicity or harassment.

I believe the message was taken out of context, and it's important to distinguish between a minor in-game reaction and actual rule-breaking behavior. There was no intent to cause offense, nor was the language aggressive or targeted. It was simply a blunt disagreement with someone else's take on the situation.

Additional Information: I'd like some second opinions.

I also want to add that if he wasn’t planning to KOS me, he should’ve put his hands up after I killed his friend.

In this clip, you can see that he was just yelling 'WTF' and laughing, which gave me the impression that he wasn’t going to surrender and was treating the situation more like a joke.
