Why were you punished?: 1.1, 1.2 - User used a religion as a derogatory term in OOC

Why should this appeal be considered?: This should not have been escalated like that. This was in the middle of the night; no one was online, mind you. I said, "Medal is Jewware." Apparently an admin took offence to that and decided to ban me for a day! I had only 1 warning for saying the word "Jew" in character while this incident took place OOC. PLUS the word "Jew" is not a derogatory term, actually! It is a word shortened from the word or religion Judaism. I did not say anything "derogatory"; perhaps if I had said, "I hate these people in this religion" or "You are a Jew," that would've been a justified reason to get a ban. Also for clarification, 'Jew' refers to people of Judaism, not 'Jew' = Israelis. I just believe that all these social medias and news and such have condensed so much so that the word 'Jew' is instantly now known for being derogatory or antisemitic. Now, yes, I see how my message COULD'VE been seen as a bit offensive, but I've seen so many people in OOC say it that it's become to the point that it's watered down, and I thought it wouldn't have been bad.

Additional Information: I know what i said couldve been wrong but i just dont see this as unfair. please respond, lower my ban or appeal. i never meant it AS MUCH like that. i AM not antisemitic and said as a joke, i will not do this from this point on.

After reviewing your dispute, we have come to the conclusion that the rules stated were indeed broken, your comment was discriminatory towards a religion, and you were disrespectful in LOOC.

You should know from your recent warning, that this isn't acceptable and is against the rules.
Rule 1.2 states: You must not use slurs or be hateful to someone because of their race, gender identity, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. You must not knowingly use the details of someone else's personal life or identity so as to treat them differently or harass them.

We feel that your statement clearly violates the rule and I implore you to read through our rules again to help prevent future rule breaks.

Your ban was extended due to the warning, and your recent ban history in general; However, if you disagree with the length of your punishment, you would need to make a staff complaint.
