Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Dekkrior
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Months
Your Steam Name: Jack
Your Roleplay Name: Torgue Flexington
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:23921311
Why were you punished?: 1.6, 3.20 - Failure to upload a demo when requested, disconnecting with an open report. // Contact me if willing to provide the demo for a reduction in length
Why should this appeal be considered?: Hi,
I would like to dispute my 1.6 and 3.20 ban.
Dekkrior contacted me through an F6 report that had been opened against me after I shot a player who had participated in a raid that resulted in the deaths of my friends, Seff and Luke. Dekkrior asked how I knew that the player had been involved in the raid. He stated that he had reviewed the player's POV but still could not understand how I had identified them. In response, I suggested that he review my demo, as it would provide better context and explain my actions.
A demo was requested in-game, and I accepted the request. I received a notification confirming that the upload had been completed successfully. As the report continued for some time, I informed Dekkrior that I would need to log off soon because it was getting late and I had both work and an exam the following day.
Dekkrior then informed me that the demo upload had failed again and requested a second upload. I accepted the new request and once again received a notification confirming that the demo had been uploaded successfully.
After that, Dekkrior sent me a link to an external website and instructed me to upload the demo there instead. At the time, I was unaware that the website belonged to A1L and was caught off guard when I was required to log in using my Steam account. Because of this, I refused at the time to upload the demo through that website and was getting a bit frustrated as the entire F6 already took about 45 minutes.
I reiterated that I had to leave and requested an AR. Wished him good night and logged off.
tldr: I'm willing to upload my demo to this site, or somewhere else if needed.
Additional Information: I do apologize for not being as clear during the F6 as I could and should have been. It was late, and I was tired.
