Why were you banned/blacklisted?: @jbooling will receive a ban extension on their current ban to 2 weeks for the following reasons: In situation one, you are seen to flee gun-point, with no realistic means of escape, resulting in your death. This violated 3.4. In situation three, you get out your car and attempt to store a weapon while your life was in danger, due to warning shots being fired at your vehicle, and orders to leave. This would've violated rule 3.18, however you didn't get to store anything so I will leave it off, other than that it violated rule 3.4 as you put your life in needless danger by exiting the vehicle. In addition, I feel that @jbooling's conduct in OOC after one of the incidents constitutes disrespectful behaviour, so that will be added onto the reasoning of their ban extension.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I was not being disrespectful toward MJ in OOC in any way. All I asked was why my F6 reports seem to be regularly ignored when it comes to situations involving MJ. I had seen admins viewing my clips while MJ was in game, but I still was not receiving a response to my F6. My question in OOC was not directed at MJ, nor was I trying to argue with or disrespect them. I was simply asking why my F6 was not being addressed.
What I don't understand is why other players are given an opportunity to explain or defend themselves when an issue comes up, but in my case, I was immediately given a two-week ban extension without anyone asking me for my side of the situation. I believe that if I had been asked about the circumstances, I could have explained exactly what happened.
Regarding the claim that I violated 3.4 by running from MJ, there was a reason for me running. I had an apartment in Titals, and when MJ turned around, I had enough distance and an opportunity to run to my apartment. My intention was to get away and protect myself, not to avoid an RP situation or break the rules. If someone had simply asked me why I ran, I would have explained this.
As for the other clip, I had just put my headset on and gotten out of my car at a gas station. I did not hear what was happening around me. I was in the process of putting my gun into my trunk, which you can clearly see in the clip. I was not attempting to defend myself, attack MJ, or kill anyone. I was simply trying to store my weapon.
What is especially confusing to me is that when I originally made the report, no other admin told me that I had violated 3.4 against MJ. Now, after I submitted an action request regarding my concerns, those same clips are being used to give me a 3.4 violation and a two week ban extension. At the same time, MJ received a warning.
I'm not asking for special treatment. I am asking for the same opportunity that other players receive to explain their side of the situation before disciplinary action is taken against me. I feel that if I had been asked for context regarding these clips, the situations could have been properly explained.
I respectfully ask that the two week ban extension be reviewed, along with the 3.4 violations associated with these clips, and that my side of the situation be taken into consideration before the extension is upheld.
