Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Lhealey05
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Week
Your Steam Name: J1mb0b5
Your Roleplay Name: Jim Russo
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:62972791
Why were you punished?: 2.5 - Player had KOS on someone at Lakeview, whom they went and killed, but in the process of this, they shot into the crowd of people he was surrounded by and killed 2 people in crossfire. As they didn't take the right steps to kill this person, they then killed someone who had a camera out and then killed someone for running at them trying to get out of the way. He didnt attempt to take the right steps and didnt take the risk of many people were in the area, just walked in and started killing people
Why should this appeal be considered?: I admit that I did kill 2 people in crossfire but I believe the way that the staff member has interpreted the situation is wrong after I have watched the demo myself. He blew the situation out of proportion and has also mixed up the people that died and also accused me of killing people in crossfire that I didn't. In the sit he claimed "Ok after looking at your demo you did have KOS on 2 people but my issue is that you killed 2 or 3 innocent people. One had a camera out and you killed him one was trying to run towards you empty handed you killed him you then killed 2 in crossfire because you shot into a crowd rying to kill someoen you had KOS on instead of taking percustions of how many people he was around you didn't take the right steps to kill him but shoot at everyone". For starters the guy that I killed with a camera was one of the people that I had KOS on so I don't know what that has to do with the crossfire, I also never shot at anybody unarmed that was running towards me as he suggests. The 2 people that were killed in crossfire ran in to my line of fire as I shot the man in the green sweater and they were unfortunately headshot, when I started shooting I had a clear line of sight on him and it was not some random spray into a crowd as the staff member suggests. I then shoot the guy with the camera because he had been repeatedly attacking us with bottles, that was deliberate not crossfire. I begin to back out of the building when I began being shot at from behind the door, I shoot at the guy behind the door and do not shoot at anybody that is unarmed. I then kill 1 more person that tries to shoot me with a pistol and then die. The unarmed man that dies outside of the building I'm pretty sure he is killed by his friend and not me, but either way why would you run towards the gunman? So yes I admit I probably should've been more cautious when initially shooting into the crowd, but as you can see in the clip those first 2 crossfires were pretty unlucky and obviously not intentional, I was trying to be deliberate with my shots and did not just randomly spray at any of the people running around as the staff member suggests. In the heat of the moment I was angry at the guy in the green sweater for finishing my friend, I was going to just leave until he shot him and that is when I decided to take action out of anger. I do not understand why the man in green shot my friend, or why the other guy was throwing bottles at us, I had never interacted with them previous to this clip and not done anything on the server other than play PD before the clip.
