Why were you banned/blacklisted?: 2.5 3.4 - User, while warranted, drove around in his car, causing 3 different PD chases and a shootout that caused him and an officer to die.

Why should this appeal be considered?: First of all peak got pissy about all of this because he lost a hostage sit. I met a guy on the road that needed help finding his car i told him everything he said hes fine to ride with me. we went looking for his car cos it was stolen. stolen for so long that we were looking for it for ages and he couldnt spawn it back in at the dealer. peak said iwas copbaiting even though i was homeless and evading as much as possible. a shootout began at the end as i was stuck on a sign and they boxed me in. I died and killed 1 cop and my friend died. I dont see how this is 3.4 as we were evading as much as possible. we tried to go raid but pd were always around so we left that region. he told me in the report that i should of hid. AND DO WHAT?! TWIDDLE WITH MY THUMBS????? every pd chase lasted less than 15 seconds as i lost them. I didnt go around looking for fights. the only shootout that happened was because they boxed me in and i had no choice. i dont see what i should of done else. he told me that i should of turnedmyself in or raided. i told him i couldnt raid at all cos the cops were literally everywhere and i always dipped to avoid them. Server was empty so barely anyone lived anywhere. Slums empty, lakeview, subs, tidals everything bro what the fuck was i meant to raid. I knew someone lived in office as i raided them as we went there PD here and pd there and pd crawling out of my ass. I dont understand why i was banned it makes no sense. you drove a warranted car! DUH BRO AM I MEANT TO WALK ONFOOT EVERYWHERE? you are talking like being a criminal i need to do it lawfully and just turn myself in. you are just salty you lost the hostage sit and moaned about it on ooc

You should not be risking your freedom from imprisonment or potentially even your life to help someone you have just met on the side of the road find their stolen car when you are warranted, as the associated risks are disproportionate to the benefits you could realise. It is also problematic for other players, namely the Police - you may think you are simply giving them something to do, but there is no need for them to encounter a flashpoint every time they ANPR your car around the map because you are twaddling along doing something that you derive little to no benefit from.

You had several options available to you, for example:

• Go and base either by yourself or with friends/associates
• Go raiding as that is a high risk/high reward activity, the risk of which is commensurate with already being warranted
• Do a Bank Robbery as that is a high risk/high reward activity, the risk of which is commensurate with already being warranted

If you did not want to do any of those things and wanted to focus on smaller activities - such as you helping this stranger find their stolen car - then your option was to hand yourself in so you are no longer warranted.

I would also like to add that there is no benefit to be derived from being inflammatory in a Dispute towards the staff member who issued the punishment. This is especially pertinent considering the ban is in-fact completely valid, and now your form of recourse is an Apology to @ThePeak who is likely to be less inclined to accept it given what you have said about him here. If you feel that the way @ThePeak handled the situation was not professional or keeping within the Rules themselves and/or Staff Guidelines, then make a Staff Complaint rather than be disparaging.
