Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @phoondos
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Week
Your Steam Name: BI$HOP
Your Roleplay Name: Jamari Evergreen
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:61640221
Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User started a raid while Police were still on scene
Why should this appeal be considered?: For starters, my character knew that Tidals was active, and upon receiving intel that 201 had planters, he factored in risk vs reward, and decided to raid the residence. Checking the front and the back twice before starting the raid, I was positive that no cops were around or people (apparently I was wrong and there were cops posted up at the PPS job, then shortly after made way to the front of tidals which I did not see, as I was detonating the bomb I had already placed after being sure (at the time) the coast was clear. Keep in mind, my character just made a big purchase on a vehicle he could barely afford, so he's now poor and taking risks to make money. Any who, I blow the door open and gun down the individual inside, his planters were past a blown off door so I was able to see they were just planted, and there was zero point of sticking around after I just made an exceptional amount of noise (using a bomb) so then Jamari made an escape, only seeing one police vehicle on his way out. So, I'm not understanding why I should've "never begun the raid to start with" as phoondos said, because my character never put his life into fear enough to even get into a interaction with the police, how did I fail to fear for my life when I wasn't even seen or caught by any police officer that was apparently right at the front of the building?
I could understand if the police had their sirens on, or were making an arrest outside of the building, or doing SOMETHING that let's their presence be known, but they weren't. They were half way up the block (PPS) when I placed my bomb (I believe) and twenty seconds later ended up pulling up to chill in the parking lot of Tidals (must've been, because there was nobody raiding or even roaming around the building when I initiated the raid, it was completely quiet despite Tidals having every apartment bought. So I don't agree with this ban whatsoever because I feared for my life during the entire ordeal and valued my life enough to come up with a plan that didn't fail in any way shape or form.
Additional Information: I am sorry for this happening to the cops but I don't agree with being punished for something that happened last second, the cops pulled up after I had already placed the bomb, and as a solo raider, I can't have anyone always watching the outside, my character understands the risk he's taking when using such utility as a solo, so being on high alert, and getting in and out as fast as possible are key factors my character always uses to get out of tight situations.
Everything I did was realistic and I never had disregard for my life in this situation, I made sure I got out of the place without dying despite the cops instant response because they pulled up last second without anything happening at Tidals.
