Why were you punished?: 1.6, 2.5, 3.4 - Player attempted to mug an armed individual at DD Homeless Camp, upon realising they were armed, decided to shoot and kill the player. Disconnected with open report.
Why should this appeal be considered?: 1.6 - I did not disconnect, my Wi-Fi lagged out and then my game would not authenticate with steam when I attempted to "retry" so had to quit out of steam and reconnect. I had been back on the server about 15-20 minutes before I got banned, SadBoy did not reopen or contact me once in this time which he easily could had done had he just opened the tab menu at any point.
2.5, 3.4 - I saw the guy run into DD and couldn't see any gun on him, I've approached with my gun in attack stance and when approaching he has ran around the corner and seen me, he had a pistol in passive stance and this is the first time I have seen the weapon. I've given him commands to put his hands up etc and he has just said "buddy" about 3 times rather than a) complying, b) trying to shoot me, so I have shot him as he was failing to comply.
I don't see how I could have approached this any differently, all I have seen is someone run to DD and an opportunity to mug a rival org member, no weapon visible at the time. When I have made contact with him he had a gun in his hand and I gave him a chance to comply given that I had the upper hand as I had an SMG in attack stance compared to his pistol in passive, he didn't comply (3.4 in my eyes) and got shot, game is game.
