Bank raid and normal raid

Shouldnt normal raids technically take more priority than bank raids if both are happening at the same time?

If u think about it when someone raids the bank all the cops immediately flock to that even if there is a (Normal raid) ongoing at another spot.

This seems very odd to me as in a bank raid no civilian lives are actually in danger, but on the other hand in a (normal raid) civilian lives are very much in danger in a property without no one helping them because cops just want to pvp at bank.

Dispatch tells you there’s a 211A at 10-20 Bank and to respond immediately as well as automatically assigning you to it, could argue you’re not doing your assigned duties if you weren’t to respond to that plus bank raids are supposed to be chaotic, it’s better that way than some bog standard property raid that happens around the clock

I understand that everyone automatically gets assigned but maybe that is a mistake in the policies as i believe saving lives should have priority over stopping some money from being stolen

Arguably in real life there are probably more lives at stake in a bank robbery than a home invasion. Obviously this is usually not the case on perp but we are simulating real life to a degree.

Yeah i agree in real life the story would be different but in perp there is literally 0 lives at risk.

Bank raids usually have ~8 armed bank robbers with fully automatic weapons. Many home raid calls are false alarms, and if not it is often only 1-2 people raiding the property (who sometimes don’t even have an automatic weapon). It is much more likely that a home invasion is thwarted by a smaller number of cops compared to a bank raid. Unless you want the bank raid response to be a suicide run (especially with the new 3 exits) you need a large amount of police responding.

You missed the point of the post D:

I understand you’re saying that civilian lives should be prioritised. It is true that realistically units should split up and divide and conquer the incidents. The issue is most cops prefer responding to a bank raid as it is more likely to have exciting PvP. Realistically Supervisors should be ordering some units to respond to the home invasion if they aren’t already.

Thats the problem, cops dont actually give a damn about saving lives which makes sense as this is a video game afterall, but from a roleplay standpoint as a police officer you wouldnt be fiending for a shootout ever in real life.

If dispatch as a role was better and a bit more frequently used this issue wouldn’t be an issue at all.

I’ve always prioritised actual raids if I am on my way to one and a bank alarm comes in. It’s an either / or case you can make the judgement of yourself, and there won’t really ever be a consequence to your decision in most cases as both are high priority incidents and an IA case for prioritising one over the other is both unlikely to occur and unlikely to be sustained. If morality is the question, however, realistically speaking probably the bank robbery would be a better use of TFU deployments than a home invasion. Morally whilst disregarding the realism and regarding the bank tellers as anything more than NPCs? Raid call all the way.

Of course, if TFOs are on their way to execute a search warrant and a bank call comes in, in the same vein as if a raid call comes in on their way to a search warrant, then the active incident takes priority over warrant execution unless the warrant execution is already a shots fired incident.
