Call of Duty: Moder Warfare has been announced and it is the 17'th game in the franchise, the trailer was released yesterday and in my opinion, it looks very good, the game is set in 2019 and seems to take place in a few countries such as England and some middle eastern countries.
However looking into the game more I found not only is it going to be released on Blizzard's Battle.net, similarly to Black Ops 4, the standard edition is going to cost £49.99 with an "Operator Edition" costing £69.99 and an even more expensive "Operator Enhanced Edition" costing a massive £84.99.
Another similarity Modern Warfare has to Black Ops 4 is that the multiplayer will have "Operators", just like Rainbow 6: Seige, where each operator will have a special ability/tool they can use. Expanding on this, the £69.99 "Operator Edition" gives you 3 exclusive operators; "All Ghillied Up” Operator Pack, “Crew Expendable” Operator Pack and the “War Pig” Operator Pack, and for an extra £20 that doesn't seem worth it. Furthermore, if you wanted to dish out another £15, you can buy the most expensive "Operator Enhanced Edition" which comes with the 3 exclusive operators AND a whole 3,000 COD points, which can be used to buy cool camos for your guns and cosmetics for your operators.
The game being on Blizzard's Battle.net instead of Steam seems to be another disadvantage, I don't even know if Battle.net lets you refund games and I don't even know the quality of the support it gives customers.
Neither the less, the game looks amazing and I'm going to consider buying the standard edition, what do you guys think about it?
Edit: The game is rumoured to have no season pass and also to have cross-platform play
