What should the cooldown be for Chop Shop?

After having the crime in the server for a while, I’m curious how people feel about the cooldown? Personally I feel as if the fact people can power grow hundreds of thousands a day in drugs without cooldown and raid bank without cooldown but only make 34k a day doing the only crime that’s non violent doesn’t make sense. the cooldown in my opinion should be way less than what it is.
 
I think you’re forgetting that by doing a chop shop, you don’t really risk losing anything (other than a crowbar and a short prison sentence) for obtaining up to $34,000. Compare this to bank robberies and drug production where the player is putting in a lot more of their own money. This losses are considerably higher, which is why the reward is better.
 
Also forgetting the fact that Police are already overwhelmed and allowing people to farm it more, even though there's often 2x Chop Shop missions as once, I'd argue increasing, not decreasing the timer. It's easy money for a bit of fun .

I understand that it can be argued the risk isn’t as high. However there is risk:

1) 5K 5Y
2) Loss of countless crowbars, even at 8/8 lockpicking
3) being mugged when picking up cash
4) the time investment of doing the job is similar to bank

I agree with this post mostly

Police are already overwhelmed I agree. I think lowering the concurring limit to only one job at once is better actually to help ease the stress off Police.

That said, it’s not a job you can fairly say is “farm-able,” anymore than robbing bank nonstop or power growing in the safety of your base for just 12 seeds in my opinion. If the cooldown was lowered, the demand rises making the non violent counterpart to raiding as a means of priority crime income. That, paired with the new map where roads are supposedly improved, would make the game so much more fun.
 
A good compromise could be making it so if you fail it you can try again another time or two, but once completed you have to wait til server restart to do it again.
I agree with having one more chance. Some of the spawns you get are shit, like the one at Regal’s parking lot, which is nearly impossible.

Another issue I’ve seen is cops camping chop shop cars by checking the license plate. If nothing comes up, they know it’s a chop shop car and camp it, which, from what I’ve been told, isn’t against any server rules. This makes it cancer for the person doing chopshop.

In my opinion, the best way to fix this would be to allow players to select a "find another car" option when they locate the target vehicle. This would generate a different car in a random location. This also adds more rng to the mission. Let’s say you get your chop shop car at slums and think it’s too risky, so you ask for a different car. It could still screw you over by moving it to Regals or could put it at subs. However, if the mission fails due to being arrested or having the car towed, the player should still have to wait for sever restart.
 
I have a proposal for the council.

Shortening the cooldown to like 2 hours or something, BUT, and this is a big but, the first chop shop mission done each day tasks you with stealing a pretty nice pretty high end supercar, whereas any subsequent missions you get like a pretty mid tier car worth less.

In terms of values, keep the current reward for the fancy car and then lower any future rewards to like 10-15k every 2 hours.
 
My hope in terms of Chopshop is to have the non violent alternative crime one can do throughout their play sessions instead of only raid or kill other players.

It’s not really about the money for me anymore as it is having a fun cat and mouse with police with the scary experience of being tracked.

I can somewhat agree with this however, It will classify the first spawn as a failure, reason for this other wise players could just hit the "find another car" option until they get the best spawn somewhere in bazaar, subs, casino or wherever they prefer and there is no actually risk/chance involved anymore.

Honestly I'd just hope for it to be reduced so cops have actual more chases to do. Now most people don't bother with it.
 
There is cool downs for bank. Not sure why you think there isn’t.

There isn’t technically a cool down for drugs. Even then there’s barriers, I.e keeping supplies stocked, building bases, defending raids.
 
I like the idea of getting 1 more chance if you fail the first time and keeping the cooldown as is. That way if you fuck up the first time you still get a chance to do one successfully before being locked out for 24hrs.
