@Zayne this is a problem with a lot of people. Please fucking try quorn meat, I actually prefer their beef! And the Linda McCartney sausages omfg delish.
@Ayjay ive tried to make myself feel sympathy for the animals slaughtered but I can just sit there and watch that video with no emotional response. Might be a sociopath who knows
@ShadowJoey I think even if watching animals die does not make you squirm, you can agree that the yearly mass extinction of these animals is clearly wrong & there's zero justifable reasoning for it to happen.
After I watched this video I felt really bad and tried going Vegan and only lasted 2 days. Yeah, it's bad that this is how some of the animals are treated but I don't think I'd ever give up meat completely although there are some days or periods of time where I don't eat meat at all.
@Ayjay honestly I think there’s no good reason for it. It’s sad to say I don’t care for wellbeing of animals and all but I just don’t get an emotional response.
I guess that if everyone contributes atleast a little bit, it makes some difference

My dad is veggie and shops at Morrisons, he constantly brings back Morrisons own brand vegan pies and other vegan friendly alternatives. Fast food chains are bringing out more and more vegan options, supermarkets and big brands are jumping on the vegan trends. Now is a great time to eat plant-based foods, and if you shop about you will 100% find lots of products that you like. Some of the bigger brands are taking advantage of the vegan hype this year, but prices are dropping. I personally cook my own food, and there's plenty of places to find recipes like:
From vegan brownies and pancakes to veggie-packed curries, stir fries and salads, these plant-based recipes are vibrant and delicious

There's so many recipes, and so many reasons to go Vegan. I hope you'll at least try, and so you don't have to worry about what nutrients you need to focus on getting, just go ahead and take a multivitamin (you're likely missing important nutrients as a meat eater anyway, plus they're super cheap).
That's probably enough stuff to get you started, I really would suggest anybody to watch Dominon as a starting point as it highlights the clear and disgusting abuse of animals throughout the world. It's what made me switch, I've found it incredibly easy to maintain a Vegan diet and don't miss meat in the slightest.
@Ayjay Even though I see your list and just how many vegan options there clearly are, I'm still hesitant. It's probably just the natural resistance to change. Also, switching to veganism does not just impact myself since I do the weekly shopping for my family, it's likely that they'll protest it. I'll trial veganism for a month to see how I get by. I literally felt assaulted when I watched those videos.
@Zayne it's obviously a huge change for anybody, anybody who has eaten meat for so long in a meat eating society is gonna be hesitant. My main advice would be to do your research, the more you find out the easier it becomes and the more knowledge about the meat industry (as disgusting as it might be) will push you further away from old habits.
good luck though, I wish you the best and if you need any help w anything then let me know!
