How to build a base

So i have been playing on the server for like 2 years with some breakes but every time i get raidet i eighter get called to an admin cus my base is illegal or something like that and when i try to do something else ppl say stuff like have u never seen a base before and its so bad so i just wonder how can i build a good base or is there like a video or something?
