If you crash when joining/in server

I have had this problem before so anyone who needs this i hope this helps

Open steam > Right click gmod > Properties > Local files > Browse local files > Garrysmod > Addons > Delete all files apart from the Half life ones > Load back up GMOD and let Perp run, it will install all files needed automatically

I Generally just used the 'Unsubscribe to all' button in the addons area of Garrys mod and then installed perp files. Fixed everything

yeah, the problem with this is it still stays in the files after, it just unsubsribes from steam, so all the addons are still there just not visible
