If you're having problems with invisible smokes since the Operation Wildfire update, I'd suggest looking at this:

so you aren't reported for cheating in MM. You'll have to deal with anyone who doesn't turn off their settings, but please be responsible and change your settings so you can see the smoke effect from the grenades. If you still have see-through smokes after following these steps, I'd suggest not playing comp MM if you don't want to risk a ban from a poor overwatcher. It's not very probable as most know about the bug, but there's always a risk.
