I dream of owning an AE86 3-door Sprinter Trueno
Also airsoft.
Well I finally got myself an AE86, not a Sprinter Trueno, a three door yes, Levin.
Also for those who are going to say "That's not an AE86, that's an AE85!"; the AE85 came as either a Trueno (pop-up headlights) OR a Levin (fixed headlights) with a 3A-U SOHC gutless engine, open-differential and drum brakes.
AE86's come with both Levin or Trueno, three-door hatch or two-door hatch (like the 85) with a 4A-GEU 16v engine and Limited Slip Differential as standard.
My AE86 has a 16 valve "bluetop" 4AGEU with independent throttle bodies, a Toyota Racing Division 2-Way differential, and four-times SSR meches. It's an alright car, blew up once.
The car itself is quite easy to work on, the engine is really, really (and I cannot stress this enough) to work on. Literally everything you need to get to is right where you need it to be.
In conclusion:
Don't buy one.
