Suggestion Title: Make Rifle Flashlight Pistol Flashlight useful Functional
Suggestion Description: The Flashlight should be brighter and blinding at nights or indoors like the image shown below and normal at day time

Why should this be added?:
- more use-case scenarios for the flashlight

What negatives could this have?:
- Might be too OP idk

What problem would this suggestion solve?: - A Reason to actually craft the Flashlight

Not sure if this would be fair to your enemy since they would be basically unable to aim at you properly

this should only be blinding in doors, so it should be balanced for both sides
 
What do you mean by this?
outside of buildings the light coming out of the rifle and pistol flashlighs should act like normal flashlights, in-door combat for example Raiders going to an apartment with the base having a spotlight the raiders flashlights should look like this Imgur: The magic of the Internet to the basers, same for tfu raiding an apartment, i dont think open area combat / outside areas combat need this blinding light

Not really possible if I recall correctly.
 
just slap the spotlight script onto the flashlight so it acts exactly like the spot light then

How would this even function, how would this even assist you, because it would just cause players to know where you are and allow them to rather easily kill you, in addition to this, you would have to be directly looking straight on the angle for it to function effectively.

actually the inspiration for why I support this so much. It makes the game feel more tactical, immersive and tricky. I'd love to see this added so the attachment isn't just a aesthetic. We got a use for the flash hider, this deserves it too!

Tarkov Flashlights are broken tbh, I do agree that if implemented they should function like this to where if you aim below/towards the flashlight model (on the gun) it should "Full flare" but when you are aiming above the flashlight (scoped in) it should not give any flare as you are not having it in your peripheral vision. <- Also how it works on Tarkov, However to implement this properly in GMOD I assume is a hassle and will not change too much in gunfights as most people already spray'n'pray anyways. TFU seems to prefire spots where potential bullets came from (which makes sense) but this would be too short of a time for a flashlight to blind them even as they quick peek. Aside from that Flashlights tend to give away positions and lights+shadows on gmod dont work well making player-shadows visible through most walls, This now happens with basic base defense lights.

In most real scenarios flashlights on weaponry don't actually get used that much because its more of a giveaway then actual help, most cops/spec-ops flash their flashlight at really dark places to clear it but then directly turn it off again to not give away their position+heading.

Overall I like the idea but I think it will be to complicated to implement properly in perp with possible exploits happening where shadows will be visible through walls etc and people end up getting wallbanged.

Thats why I will have to give it a -1 as it seems to much "exploit risk" instead of it benefiting anything/anyone.
 
r_shadows 0 only affects the light itself. The spotlights are still just as bright if you're running that.
That’s a great point

Tbf defenders already get to use up to 3 spotlights to blind attackers on single entrance, this is essentially a spotlight attachment.
