Suggestion Title: Make The Drug System More Interactive
Suggestion Description: I think the current drug system is too basic and boring. Right now it's just you plant the seeds wait for it to grow and harvest it and 90% of the time is just waiting for it to grow doing nothing just afking.
It could be improved by adding additional steps for example having to keep the water jug or container full (right now it doesn't even go down) and keeping light levels steady so the plant for example weed doesn't die.
As an extra to the current system adding steps like trimming the plant, drying it, collecting the buds and packing it into bags. This would help it not feel like an afk simulator and make it way more immersive and rewarding (more steps higher reward).
With this change the system would be improving both the growing part and the production making it engaging and fun since it is how 80% of players make their money if not more.

Why should this be added?:
Increases player engagement by lowering afk time and adding active gameplay.
Makes the system feel more immersive and realistic.
Adds a feeling of progression through multiple production stages.
Rewards players effort and skill rather than just afking.
Encourages better resource management (water, light).
Can introduce risk/reward mechanics.
Gives room for future expansion.
Creates a reason for orgs to hire "growers" to stay and manage everything.

What negatives could this have?:
Increases complexity, which may overwhelm new or casual players.
Could slow down progression if not balanced properly.

What problem would this suggestion solve?: It would solve a lack of engagement and low immersion.
 
To be honest. In the end this would most likely result in people being way more annoyed about the entire growing process and will have less people actually do it, which is bad for server health. Since the current meta is mostly to be AFK and do something else and sometimes get raided and shoot a bit, which is a great way to spend your time while also making money in a game older than most people playing it.
 
What I’m suggesting isn’t meant to replace the current system but add things to it. People who enjoy the afk could still grow the same way they do now and make about the same money or maybe just a little less. But for players who actually want to be more involved doing the water, light, trimming process they could get better yields.
Everything can be optimized this is just a suggestion, idea.
 
Honestly just no, if perp would get some of those totally advanced systems thats just way out of the world i personally would not even find the server fun anymore. Everything doesn't need to be hyper realistic, especially now that you say people can still be afk and grow and some players can be more involved doing the water, light ect, that would also not really make sense to me. Everyone has two options, basic or advanced planter and that's it.

Making the drug system much more advanced in Perpheads would likely hurt the server by making it harder for new players to understand, slowing down gameplay into drug dealer simulator, and shifting focus away from the actul fun stuff you can do around Paralake. Overall, it would reduce accessibility and make a core gameplay loop less enjoyable for a large part of the player base.
 
I grow weed when it's safe but I'm still keeping a tight eye out for potential raids, I sell it when it's safe but I'm still crouching towards the Dealer. Sometimes I fish while growing so that's 2 activities. I'm being careful with the timing so my plants don't go seeding/flowering/dead so I'm constantly watching the room I'm growing at. I want better yields - So I've created an organisation and I'm going through the long path of leveling it up so I get more cash from the DD.
I'd even put an air conditioner above plants so it looks more realistic.

This is how it used to be for a long time and it was the most annoying thing about growing drugs, having a stock of water jugs in your storage or having to go refill all of them is pain. I'm glad it's more simple but I don't think it needs to be any more complex, it's easy as is and you can select three possible yield results with the advanced planters if you wish to use those over the basic planters.

If anything we require more ways to make legal money and not cater more attention or time for the drug aspect of the server.
 
i think you’re missing the point. an 'advanced' planter right now is literally just a basic planter with one extra slot it’s not actually 'advanced' gameplay. all i’m saying is that the current system rewards being lazy way more than being active. if you want to plant your seeds and go fishing or wait for raids you should still be able to do that for the same yields you get now. nobody is taking that away. but right now there’s zero reason for someone to actually put in effort. if someone wants to stay at their base and manage their setup or do the extra work like trimming and drying they should get a better yield for that time. it's about giving players a choice between the 'lazy meta' for people who want to do other stuff or an 'active path' for people who want to actually grind for a higher reward. that's the depth that's missing.
 
If anything needs to be changed, imo it would be meth.

This is a lot more steps and attention-demanding than coke/weed, and it doesn’t yield much more (if any) benefit atm.
