Preface
Welcome to the December 2022 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.
Message from the Chief
First and foremost, I would like to welcome everyone back after the holiday period; both Hayden and I hope you had a nice Christmas and a good start to the New Year! We truly appreciate all the effort and hours dedicated by everyone that allows the department to function from training and command staff, to server staff and developers, to every officer who spends their time on duty.
The end of 2022 brings with it the final employee satisfaction survey of the year. If you want to bring up any issues and have your thoughts heard, in confidence, now is the chance to bring these forward. Additionally, an end of year survey will also be sent out to all supervisors which will allow us to make more targeted improvements to improve the experience for and availability of supervisors on duty. Keep an eye out for a further announcement regarding this.
For those who are not already aware, I returned from my Leave of Absence earlier in December and am back to working as normal. As ever, if you have any comments or concerns you would like to bring to me or Hayden, please do contact us whether it be on PLPD Online, Discord, the forums, or TeamSpeak.
