PREFACE

Welcome to the June 2026 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF

The month of June is coming to its end. With the high temperatures that everyone is experiencing, the PD has also experienced some volumes of "heat" unlike the previous months.

As you all are likely aware, June was the month where we've lost the entirety of our Captains within Operations Services. This was not something that was expected and the Senior Management Team of the PD scrambled for ways to quickly attempt to resolve these absences. With that general applications were opened for interest within the Patrol Command Team, which slots have now been occupied by Captain kerzify and Lieutenant Miss Piggy. As for Road Traffic Unit, the Senior Management Team of the PD, decided that Wescott is appointed Captain of the Road Traffic Unit. For the purpose of transparency we would like to say that this is something that is rarely done as a standard practice. However due to the sheer volume of resignations, whether that be by their own wish or other reasons, we needed to fill some of these slots rather quickly and we wish to avoid invoking this power we hold as rarely as possible in the future, and maintain the core principles of role fairness. We would also like to congratulate Lieutenant Kubafx1234 of Internal Affairs as well as Lieutenant Lhealey05 of Road Traffic Unit for their well deserved promotions.

A lot of opportunities within command teams will be opening in the following days or weeks, where we suggest that anyone who sees themselves in these roles applies. We wish all of the candidates all the best and to see some of you join the ranks as command members.

Last month, the Chiefs of Department, have also introduced a new policy. The "Divisional Duties & Reporting Policy", which can be found in both the OS and PSD resource directories. This new policy is intended to give us a better view within the department, whilst outlining the responsibilities captains must fulfil, ensuring both team cohesion and morale. The reports that Captains will have to fill out, then subsequently be reported to their line managers, will help us in making these monthly roundups more informative and interesting.

With all that said, we hope you all are doing well in this heat and that you take the time to cool off as well!

- Deputy Chief of Department Edward Field

Police Meritorious Achievement

Police Meritorious Achievement

Awarded to: Lieutenant Nikola Fischer 7000 (Vollgas)

"It brings the Head of Internal Affairs and the Head of Professional Standards delight to award Lieutenant Nikola Fischer with a Meritorious Achievement Award for creating the first new-style entrance examination for Investigative Assistants. This exam created by Vollgas was used for both the October 2025 and January 2026 intake, which saw 15 applicants be accepted into the division with a subsequent high retention rate past probation. The question set thoroughly tested the policy and law knowledge of potential entrants, and also provided opportunity for practical application with a well-devised mock Final Report which also included a purpose-made evidence video. This piece of work was no small feat and is a testament to their discipline, attention to detail, and precision. We thank them for being pioneering as an agent for change."
- Captain Acer Joseph (Acerius), Head of Internal Affairs
